Wales & Wye Laning
Wales & Wye Laning

"I stumbled across a couple of video's on Youtube, on further investigation I found a link to the West Wales Laning website, one e-mail later and I'm a member, one month later I’m joining the group for a laning day. Two years on and I’ve made some fantastic friends and memories of green laning days and weekends that will last a lifetime! – Shaun, Shropshire"

"I had been green laning many times and really enjoyed it but something was missing. Once I joined WWL I found out what is was a considered well thought out philosophy put into practice so that all can enjoy the experience and minimise impact on the environment. – Malcolm, Cheshire

“I joined WWL as a complete green lane novice, was well received and helped. Was introduced to GLASS, Treadlightly and 4x4 Response Wales through them and look forward to the monthly green lane outings. Thanks to their help and education I confidently plan and execute my own green lane trips as well as joining the WWL trips. - Paul, Ceredigion”

"I always wanted to join a group of like-minded people do go and do some laning in the Welsh hills. As soon as I heard of WWL, which was very shortly after the group was created, I joined and got a lot more than a "group of like-minded people!Fred, Ceredigion”

"I moved to Ceredigion last December and as an existing member of GLASS, one of the first things I did was contact my GLASS Area Rep John to introduce myself to the excellent laning opportunities I knew were available in the area. I have not been disappointed. John runs a first-rate set-up with lots of well-planned and properly run outings and keeps everyone informed about social and business matters - David O, Ceredigion."

“It was a new adventure for me a year ago to join Glass and WWL. Initially John referred me to a local member, Paul, who was friendly and most helpful. After this initial meeting I was invited to a run over Strata Florida which inspired me further to pursue this as a hobby, which I thoroughly enjoy. The organisation of the trips is professional and the camaraderie and the fun are great. The people that I have met on these trips are from all walks of life and various ages, but they are friendly and passionate about laning and 4x4's. My feelings are that we as members should support Glass by assisting in keeping these lanes open either by assisting in maintenance and other aspects of the organisation where required - David H, Ceredigion”
